We purchased them onsite on the day of our tour. The tickets were Ticketmaster tickets, so I am guessing that is the case regardless of how they are purchased.

The one I've been on is open to the outside, but has a bar and bathrooms that are conditioned. Not sure about the other type.

It's best to call them and ask since when I was on it, it was cold outside/upper deck so we sat inside where the heat was.

Excellent guided tour down the river with lots of info. Our tour guide John I. was amazing and shared lots of interesting information. Ticket purchases were quick and easy. The 90 minute tour flew by and I feel like not an ounce of information about the amazing architecture was missed!

If you have time, this is an amazing tour to see the luxurious architecture along the Chicago River. Learning the history and seeing the styles of buildings brings the Vista to a vibrant finale where you.csn observe the city skyline. Docent Paula was impressive and knowledgeable. Her polish with the guided tour kept things moving while you take in the sites.
